We have all felt like a deer in the headlights when challenges present themselves. Fear is often accompanied by inaction, and that is when a deer often meets its demise. Focusing on that fear gets us nowhere, focusing on strategies and owning a positive attitude gets us somewhere. The more detailed the strategies, and either making time to act on them or delegating them to someone who has the time and holding you or them accountable, the more success you will have in reaching your goals.
Steven Covey’s perspective on time is that 20% of your time spent on your business should be “in the zone” to plan. This time in the zone is necessary to attain your goals.
Quarterly Strategic Planning is a business practice that allows you to take time to create your goals for a manageable time frame of 90 days. Creating a realistic number of measurable goals, with specific strategies to attain them, with proper delegation and accountability, you have a recipe for success.
